Synopsis

In the province of Anhui, in eastern China, mountain ranges called “Huang” carry endless clouds that play hide and seek with rock and wet vegetation, within which flows and overflows a human torrent: tourists from all over the world who have come to swoon in front of this wonder of nature. And among them, an old man who, on his back, carries the mountains.

Biography

Yan Sterckx, Director

Born on March 23, 1996, Yan Sterckx is passionate about the arts such as dance, music, illustration and especially film. In 2015, he began a Bachelor’s degree in the Cinema/Cinéma du Réel department at the Haute École d’Art et Design in Geneva. Graduated in June 2018, his diploma film The Waves of the Flat Land is selected at the Winterthur International Film Festival (Special mention from the Jury of Film Schools) and at DOK.fest München.
